Someone once asked me a while ago, "What happens in your dreams?"

"I used to call them dreams but now I mostly call them Soul journeys. They aren't dreams, the way I used to know dreams. I am there; I am in other worlds."

Once you can remember your journeys to the other worlds, you can learn from the lessons that occur there. You can bring them back here and gain from them spiritually.
